Windows 10: Windows disactiveted and unable to Retrieve Windows Activation Key

Dear Support Team,I hope this message finds you well.I am experiencing an issue with retrieving my Windows activation key. Here are the steps I have taken so far:Using Command Prompt:I opened Command Prompt as an administrator.I ran the command wmic path softwarelicensingservice get OA3xOriginalProductKey, but it did not return the activation key.Using SLMGR:I ran the command slmgr /dlv, I also tried slmgr /dli, Using Troubleshoot:I tried using the built-in Windows troubleshooting tools, but the issue persists.Additionally, my Windows is currently deactivated, which may be contributing to the

Unable to Activate Win 8

I got Win 8 isntalled on my file server, but I am unable to activate it with the key. Says the key is invalid. Since I work at microsoft I got a retail version from the employee store. I have been doing some reading, and to be able to activate Win8 with the key there needs to be a previous version of Windows installed for it to work. WTF, so you can't do clean installs?

And the box says nothing about Upgrade version. Straight Windows 8 Pro.

 

Retrieving original activation key for windows


Hello!

I bought a demo-pc in 2014 that came with win8, but i was unable to log in as i did not have the password, so i flashed windows 10 insider build. But i am tired of all the bugs, so i want to get the regular windows 10 build now.

Does anyone know how i can do this? I do not know the serial key, but shouldn't it be embedded in the BIOS? The PC is an HP Envy touchsmart 14.

Can i just format, flash an win8 img, and then the PC will automatically retrieve the activation key by itself?

The problem that you currently have is no longer the product key as you've already retrieve it, but the Windows activation. We suggest that you follow the suggestion provided
Andre Da Costa in his first response if you're unable to activate Windows 10.
