Windows 10: Windows does not detect my headset microphone

    Windows does not detect my headset microphone


    I have a "gaming" headset that has a built-in microphone. This microphone works under linux and on my xbox for game chat. However Windows does not detect this device no matter what I try. I have tried the following:Enable device in advanced audio settings.Scan for hardware changes in device management.Restarting/replugging in the headset.Reinstalling WindowsI have all the default privacy settings, the headset does not have custom software and the headset itself it connected via a 3.5mm jack. I attatched an image below that shows it not being detected. Microphone Array is my built-in laptop mic
