Windows 10: Windows does not recognize my Samsung A32 phone

Hi I need help with My samsung A32 usb port is not working properly....it charges but If I try to connect it to my pc is says windows does not recognize it....even usb stick it not working....I did that test that the phone does and when I got to usb part it said usb connection not recognize * Moved from Community Center* Original title: Help with phone

Your Phone Companion

You will get updates automatically and cannot disable it since they block disabling it. You can attempt to force stop and you can clear data/cache, and also probably uninstall all updates for it to auto update back to the latest again. That's it by default.

There should be a launcher icon for starting it however I would think or maybe its from the notification shade quick settings panel and you can add it to it from there or something else. Something somewhere you should be to start it besides the only way you've seen so far.

Factory resetting your phone should do nothing. The icon to start it shouldn't show up from doing that. That really shouldn't be a bug. While you never know, I highly doubt it would make a difference here.

If you long press on the home screen, it may have settings there. In there may be hide apps. You can also check in there. I don't know if they have changed this on recent devices but I'm sure its around in some form.

Its a system app so you cannot completely uninstall it. You cannot install it from the Play Store.

 

Unable to interact with My Phone Companion app on Samsung A32 5G

I recently bought a Samsung A32 5G phone through T-Mobile. Using the Switch app, I then transferred all my apps to the new phone. Today I realized I had not opened the Your Phone Companion app yet and thought I needed to do that. That's when I discovered I could not find the app on my phone. It was only after I went to the Google store that I discovered the app was installed on my phone after all. However, it does not appear in my apps window. It does appear in my apps list in settings. The only way I can open this app is to open the Google store and tap on the open button.

I figured the best way to fix this was to uninstall the app and reinstall it. When I tried to do that, I discovered I have no uninstall button. I can only disable or force stop. I have tried restarting the phone multiple times but the app is all but invisible and non-interactable. Interestingly enough, the app appears to be communicating with my PC just fine. I can see my messages and photos, etc. Can someone please help?
