Windows 10: Windows does not reconnect to mapped drive when restarted

I am only able to map a drive through CMD running as administrator. But once mapped and having access to files, if I try to restart my PC it says that can't reconnect to drive and that my session has expired. I logged in with a local admin account to test and it worked just fine. If I try to map through the wizard, windows says that my credentials are not correct. Can't seem to find the problem.I have tried the following popular fixes I was able to find and it did not work:1 - Editiging the Group Policy for UAC: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in admin approval mode. 2 - Co

Hard drive/ OS issue

a guy suggested :

• unhooked HDD
• restarted

Mapped Network Drive Disconnects and Will Not Reconnect

OS:Windows 10 V20H2
PC: Dell XPS8940
Router: Netgear R7000 w/ TomatoUSB

• Nine of ten mapped network drives on my desktop PC behave normally! The tenth is a problem. It is mapped to the USB drive connected to my router.
• Sometimes (days) I cannot connect to this mapped drive and it fails to reconnect. At that point I can still connect to this drive from ALL other devices on my Workgroup LAN. None of those devices have the drive mapped!
• For a short time, using "Net Use" shows the drive trying reconnect. Later it says "Disconnected".
• The only way I have found to reconnect to that drive is to perform:
  1. net use U: /delete
  2. net use U: \\HARENET-HD\data
• This problem has started within the last several months. Maybe it's related to a Windows update??

Mapped drive not reconnecting after restart.

I have a network of 4 windows 10 PC's, 1 Windows Vista PC and a Nas Drive.

The NAS is connected via the router and all but one of the Windows 10 PC's is connected without any issues.

The issue i am having is:-

I have used a disk provided with the NAS to map the network dive on all the PC's it shows and works fine on all of them, But When you turn off one of the Windows 10 PC's it will not reconnect to the drive.

It still shows as a mapped drive but tells me it has been unable to reconnect.

If i try and manually reconnect to it, it then asks for credentials which i enter but then it tells me they are incorrect.

If i then use the utility disk again to map the drive it works fine until the PC is turned off again.

I've found plenty of discussion about people having similar issues but so far they are all slightly different and non of the fixes for similar problems has worked in rectifying this issue.
