Windows 10: Windows doesn't detect when second monitor is on or off. Assumes it's always on.

I just hooked up a second monitor (it's basically an old TV, it doesn't even have a DV port. I'm using an HDMI cable) and Windows is having a hard time telling when it's turned on or off. Even if the second monitor is turned off (or unplugged from the computer completely) the second desktop is still being created. My mouse cursor can slip over to it and it takes me a while to find it again.

I know the PC is aware of something happening when I turn the second monitor on because I get some momentary flashing and reverse colors on the primary one, although nothing happens when I turn it off.

I just want to make it so that if I turn the computer on with the second monitor off, it won't create the second desktop for the cursor to get lost in. And when I turn the monitor on, it will create the second desktop, and when I turn the monitor off it will drop the second desktop.

When I googled the issue I found something about an "autodetect" option, but I can't find it anywhere.

I'm using a GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, if it helps.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

If Windows can't detect your second monitor, it's usually a driver problem. It could be due to your video driver being outdated, incorrect or faulty. It's also possible that your monitor driver is causing the problem.

Since the issue occurred after the latest update, it's possible that the video or monitor drivers require an update. Try looking for the updated version of the drivers on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.

If the issue persists, try to roll back the drivers to the last good configuration. To do that, you may follow these steps:

• Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
• Right-click your device driver, select Properties, and browse to the
  Driver tab.
• Press the Roll Back Driver option if available, and Windows 10 will begin the process.
