  1. Windows doesn't flush Unused memory, making it reach 90% of my RAM as active memory

Today my computer is using an abnormal amount of memory around an average of 90%, and neither the Resource Monitor nor Task Manager show enough usage to justify this consumption. When I install Sysinternals and use RAMmap, I see this:I'm not an expert, but I think the memory that should be flushed out just because it's Unused remains as used or something like that, not letting other programs to make use of it.By the way, I think it is important to make clear that this was not abruptly happening, but was a progressive increasing of memory usage 90% usage is reached after around 6 hours of s

  2. Manually Flush memory cache ?

I searched and ask because I use a few memory intensive programs and it would be extremely beneficial if I could flush the memory since there are a few minor issues in Windows, particularly screen savers that won't activate that typically would and when I do a reboot, everything works like a charm since rebooting flushes memory it's fairly obvious where the problem lies but rebooting all the time may not be needed and can be a bit of a pain. If I could do this manually it would be extremely helpful but it is mentioned that is it no helpful. There must be a advanced solution to this problem that is a fair balance.

  3. Manually Flush memory cache ?

When I close all the memory intensive programs and, for example, the screen saver continues not to activate, then it can only be a memory flush is needed, you could say one or two of the memory intensive programs is not releasing the memory even after closing but that doesn't help much if I can't do it manually in Windows.

  4. Windows doesn't flush Unused memory, making it reach 90% of my RAM as active memory

Memory problem with unreleased "Unused" memory

    Good morning.

I am running an Intel i7 with 16 GB physical RAM on a gigabyte UD99x mainboard (Nvidia 970, Bitdefender 2018). After having the computer running for less than an hour, my memory usage is in the 95-99% range, but the applications/processes amount to max.
5-6 GB RAM. After reading about RAMMAP in this forum, I used it to understand where the memory is going to, as I couldn't identify a single process/app to cause the issue.

It seems that my PC doesn't release its "Unused" memory, at least that is what I have figured from the RAMMAP picture (I am not an expert, sadly).

If I use RAMMAP's "empty" features, I can release 10% or so, but those components are quickly used again - moving my RAM usage back to 99%.

I have tried to find a clue using google, but nothing has come up. I have already updated all drivers, de-activated programs, cleaned my startup apps.

What can I do to release the "active unused" memory and to make sure that it is not going to happen again?

    Thank you!
