Windows 10: Windows DVD player

I trialled Windows DVD player and it was compatible with my Dell XPS 7390 so I bought it. Now I discover that the subtitles will not play on any of my DVDs. As I cannot listen to the soundtrack, and the Live Caption option is not suitable for movies and foreign films, I want a refund. Apparently this purchase is not refundable. This is crazy. Anywhere else an item which doesn't work would be refundable. Does anyone know how I can get hold of someone and get this sorted?Any advice gratefully received.Thank you

Windows DVD Player FUBAR

In order to assist you better could you please confirm whether you're using the Windows 10 DVD player App or Windows Media Player (DVD).

I suggest you to update the drivers from the Device Manager and see if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
• Expand the DVD/CD ROM Drives.
• Right-click on the mentioned drive and click on Properties.
• Go to Drivers Tab and click on Update.
• Restart the computer and check.
