Windows 10: Windows Education Activation Error

I installed a Windows Education to my home computer and apparently I found a Windows Pro OEM Key in my mail.


So I wanted to test if this works and inserted this Pro OEM key into activate Windows Settings tab.


Now I messed up and the the settings are telling me to activate windows on this device.


I can't undo this and change back to education version and I am stuck with the invalid pro key.


I have no 25 product key for the Windows 10 Education version because it was given to me as a digital license under the institution email.


I went through the troubleshoot / searched error code but nothing seems to work.

-> changing to education using Microsoft store didn't work either.

->reinstalling windows 10 as set up for an organization didn't work

-> Access Work or school -> already its connected to my school.

->AzureAdJoined : Yes but asks me to activate windows

Windows 10 will not activate Error code 0x803F7001

Possibly there can be the problem with Microsoft activation Server, so your Windows 10 is not activated. In this scenario, you need to wait and verify if it is the issue from Microsoft’s side. But if you are getting error code 0x803f7001, you can also try these steps:

1. Open Settings app. Then go to Update and security > Activation screen > Change product.
2. Type your Windows edition product key and click Next.
3. You’ll get We couldn’t activate Windows error message.
4. Retry steps 1-3 then type your 25-characters unique product key.
5. Wait for the process to complete, Windows 10 is activated.

Does it matter that this article is about Windows 10 Pro or do I have to follow the same steps to activate windows education on Windows 10 Home?Thanks a lot
