Windows 10: Windows erases Product Key when upgrading without keeping personal files, apps and data

I upgraded 2 PCs from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. During installation, I chose not to keep any personal files, apps, and data. After upgrading to windows 10 pro, it is asking me to activate Windows and enter a product key. I entered the product key that was used on the same machine, but it says that the product key didn't work.I have upgraded other PCs, but it detected the product key and it activated Windows automatically.What options do I have? I already have two product keys, but they don't work...

Update erased system files, personal data.

Our windows 10 pc updated this morning and erased all of our personal data and some critical system files. When it starts up now we get the usual start up screen then it goes to the please wait loading screen for about 30 min or so before going to
a blank desktop. The start menu does not work, the file explorer will not open, the only thing that will start is the task manager, which shows nothing. My kids had a lot of stuff on this pc, any suggestions on an actual fix for this. As a consumer of
microsoft products which for the most part ive had very little problem with I dont want to hear how this is my problem Microsoft update destroyed our pc the responsibility is soley in the hands of Microsoft.

 

Does Keep my files erase Minecraft Java worlds and data?

Hello. And I wanted to reset my pc, I saw keep my files option, and I am wondering, does keep my files erase all minecraft worlds and data? But the program will be removed but they still keep worlds and server lists and data after I reinstalled minecraft?

While upgrading Microsoft windows server 2016 to windows server 2019, I'm facing issue where the option keep personal files and apps greyed out. Kindly suggest.
