    Hi.
Let me start by saying that this problem doesn't occur on Windows 7.
I use VLC media player to record some streamings, which are saved as .ts files. When I want to watch them, I go to the documents folder and I have to wait about 90 seconds because Windows says "Working on it..." and I noticed the more streamings I record the more time I have to wait. While waiting, the RAM and SSD reach 100% of usage [http://s32.postimg.org/fke1q7nz7/Bez_tytu_u.png]. When Windows finally show me those files and when I double-click on a video, I can watch it, but when I click once on a video, Windows Explorer is not responding [http://s32.postimg.org/uuaxrdnhf/Bez_tytu_u1.png], uses 100% of RAM and SSD again [http://s32.postimg.org/xjqgcsboj/Bez_tytu_u2.png] and restarts, closing all the folders.
I ran cleanmgr.exe, cleared the cache and thumbnails, deleted Windows useless junk files, used some registry cleaners and removed HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PropertySystem\PropertyHandlers\.ts and HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\.ts from the registry, but it didn't help. I need your help.

    :)

  2. Windows Explorer 100% RAM usage and 100% SSD usage on Windows 10.

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply and update.

Suggest you to boot the pc in Safe Mode to test if the issue persists.

Safe mode starts Windows in a basic state, using a limited set of files and drivers. It can help you troubleshoot problems on your PC. For example, if the problem doesn't happen in safe mode, you'll know default settings and basic device drivers
    aren't causing the issue.

Start your PC in safe mode in Windows 10: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Keep us informed to help you further.

Windows Explorer 100% RAM usage and 100% SSD usage on Windows 10.

    Hi bugreporter,

    Welcome to the 10forums *Smile

Please follow below instructions for a diagnostics test and provide answers to the questions.
First, please make sure your SSD firmware is up to date.

    What SSD are you using?
Is your Windows 10 installation a clean install or an upgrade?
Do you have any device connected when this problem occurs?
What registry cleaners did you use? Most of them are improper and could cause more harm than good hence the reason why lots (including myself) recommend against the use of these programs. If correct they save a backup of the registry, either a backup of the entire registry or (usually) the part that has been removed, make sure you backup these backups in case something goes wrong.

    System File Check
    Please try following:
    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
    • When it finished reboot your system
    • Open again an admin command prompt
    • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow says "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them" after the second SFC, please upload the cbs.log file located at %systemroot%\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

Please fill in your system specsPlease follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely. How to fill in your system specs:

Looks like you're using uTorrent and BitTorrent and in doing so you risk infecting your entire system. That said you need to change the setting in uTorrent/BitTorrent for the number of uploads....change that to zero. As this is a peer to peer system, while you are downloading, others are uploading from you....that's how it works. Which is probably causing all your HDD/RAM activity which then gives you that error message.

  6. Thank you for answering me but I already found a solution.
The solution is to remove ".ts" from the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PropertySystem\SystemPropertyHandlers
