    Windows Explorer and icons deteriorate


    Using Windows 10 on the following machine:IntelR CoreTM i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Recently I have been having an issue with the icons for images/videos not showing the proper thumbnails. The icons will in time change to look like this: Also, the "View" and "Options" on the explorer will be shaded out so that I cannot access them.I deleted the icon cache in order to let it rebuild but that did not work, I also used "Winfilefolder" to try and fix the issue but it did not solve the problem. It works fine

    How to make vista display same icon size for all opened folders in explorer ?

    i dont think this answers the question , how do i make all icons in all folders appear "Large Icons" .

    are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer
