    Windows Explorer and MS Office Applications not working


    For past 2 months, Windows 10 started behaving strangelyAnd since last 2 days, the same problem has now come to MS Office Word, Excel & PPT also and made me unable to do substantial part of my work. I am just not able to select and open files.When I open Explorer and select a file and double click, it does not open. It does NOT matter whether the file is in the root or deep inside multiple sub folders. The button just goes round and round and nothing happens. The App becomes 'Not responsive'. Task Manager also shows that the Application is UnresponsiveWindows 10 is Uptodate - Checked and

    MS Office applications stop screensaver working - Windows 10

    Microsoft Office 365 Windows Version 1611 (Build 7571.2109).

    No changes made.

    No troubleshooting apart from re-checking the screensaver settings - as stated the screensaver works perfectly well until any Office application is activated.

    Please provide a bit more detail, when you say Office is not working, what happens when you try to use an Office Application and are all Microsoft Office applications not working for you?

    If so, follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

    Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

    Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

    At the top, click 'Change'

    On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

    That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .

    NOTE: Please be advised, if you are running Office 2013 or earlier, before attempting a repair, have your Microsoft Office Product Key at hand, Office may need to be re-activated in some cases
