Windows 10: Windows Explorer changed now called File Explorer

Hello,

I have been searching on posts associated with File Explorer but none seem to address my issue.

Few days ago I was to be able to see Folders, video, music , docs etc on the left hand side, I had updated Office 2019 and for some reason I can no longer see any folders that use to appear on the left screen.

Does anyone know how I can go back and be able to see the folders.

I am using Windows 10 v2004 OS Build 19041.388

I don't use Internet Explorer, I meant the thing where you can look at files etc. Hotkey Windows+E. Maybe it's the wrong name in english though. *Stick Out Tongue

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
