Windows 10: Windows Explorer does not appear as program to open .gz files

I have a Windows 11 machine where I can open .zip file or .gz file to see the content of the files without un-zipping.I also have a Windows 10 machine but on it, gz/zip file show as non-associated file type as the icon is a plain file icon.So I tried a suggestion from here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-explorer-does-not-appear-as-program-to/a2230947-af3a-4f05-acf4-cc05e094975b-- suggestion from that thread link --1. Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

.gz files

basically, its a game launcher, called Lunar Client. Everytime it launches it will create a log to know what time did i launch the program, but the logs.txt are zipped in a .gz files and i couldnt get the launcher to launch the program,

so i was wondering how can i stop the logs.txt get zipped in .gz anymore
