  1. Windows Explorer: Everything nested under Desktop, including Home.

In Winwdows Explorer, on Windows 11, everything is now appearing under desktop. No longer can I pin folders or have easy access. I have tried the following: resetting defaults; checked and tried folder options; ran the system file checker; looked to remove HubMode and Home in the file registry they weren't there; tried right clicking on navigation pane, but all that came up was the folder or icon in the tree, not the pane itself. It is very bizarre. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone know the correction?

    :)

  2. nested desktop folder

After I examining your folder listing, I need to ask for some clarification:

    • Where exactly do you feel you have the unwanted nested folders?
    • The Downloads folder is normalla located here:

      C:\Users\Doug\Downloads

In your case it is located here:

      C:\Users\Doug\Desktop\New Personal\Downloads

Is there any particular reason for this?

    Cortana and nest

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    At present, Cortana can
    control your smart home devices
    such as

    • Turn lights on or off
    • Set the brightness of a light
    • Control a group of lights
    • Set the temperature
    • Turn the thermostat up or down

I would suggest you to check with the Nest support team if the Nest Hello can be
    configured to Cortana commands.

    Regards,

File explorer does not include all my hard drives under 'This PC': File explorer only displays my C and D (DVD) drives when launched. I spent a lot of time hunting for a solution...
