Windows 10: Windows Explorer freezes for 10s of seconds

Hi,On my PCs 2 of them I am running Windows 10 with all the latest updates I believe, but they both show the same issue; something as simple as a right click on a file icon in a Windows Explorer window will make the "spinning blue" circle come up for anything up to 30 seconds.If I check in Task Manager it says the CPU usage is just a few % - Memory is about 33% Used Physical Memory and Disks are low or 0%.Can anybody suggest what may be going on ? Here are a few bits of information that might help:1 I run AVG antivirus2 I have a NAS drive mapped as drive 'Z'3 drive 'C' had "Allow files on

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

PowerDVD 9 freezes on startup for 10 seconds

My problem is that my PowerDVD 9 freezes whole system for 5-10 seconds while starting. It happens on my HD monitor Samsung 240HD. But when I connect 40 inch 720p tv it works great. Please, can u suggest what the problem or give some link to fix.

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).
