    Hello,


    So I have this reoccurring problem.

    Sometimes a window in explorer (can be a folder, or a browser window) just became partly in active. The top part has this grey bar (see image).

    This grey area is transparent to the desktop. I mean if I would right double click, I can see menu options that are used for desktop.

    The only fix which helps right now is a restart.

    Do you have a suggestion how to fix that?

    Explorer title bar text color too bright grey

    I'm using colored title bars. Blue for the active window en light grey for the inactive windows.

    To obtain the inactive light grey color, I had to add to the registry the AccentColorInactive 32 bit DWORD value hex b8b4b0 (BGR) (RGB decimal 176, 180, 184).

    This colour is fine for all windows except for the File Explorer.

    The File Explorer has a title bar with characters in the color hex 999999 (RGB, decimal 153, 153, 153).

    All the other windows have a title bar with characters in the color of about hex 6c6c6c (RGB decimal 108, 108, 108).

    So, only the File Explorer title bar has too bright characters with almost no contrast to the light grey background.

    Can Microsoft solve this issue?

    This problem was found after the update to Windows 10 Anniversary Update (Version 1607) (OS Build 14393.222).

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
