Windows 10: Windows Explorer issues with JPEG files

This is a really strange behaviour. I have a folder containing files with the JPG extension, some of which have been generated using Photoshop's AI-based "Generative Fill" feature, and which therefore contain a JUMBF header block as well as the usual EXIF headers and so on. When, in Windows Explorer, I search for "*.jpg", these files are not shown, whereas if I open a command prompt, navigate to the folder, and execute "dir *.jpg", they are. If I edit one of the images so as to remove the JUMBF block, it is included in the search as expected. I am also seeing other strange behaviour with the

I don't use Internet Explorer, I meant the thing where you can look at files etc. Hotkey Windows+E. Maybe it's the wrong name in english though. *Stick Out Tongue

are you running IE7? if not that wouold be my first suggestion,upgrade to ie7 that can fix some stability issues with windows explorer

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
