Windows 10: Windows Explorer Navigation Pane left side bar is very slow with recent items on Favorites...

Windows Explorer Navigation Pane left side bar is very slow with recent items on slow IO devicesi.e. network drive.It shows nothing including fast physical drives until the IO device containing recent file/dirs responds.It should display only items from slow devices later, while showing other items at their usual speed.

Where are 'Favorites' and 'Recent places' in file explorer?

I've done this to get Recent Items to show up in Quick Access and in Windows Explorer Jump List

1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to "%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent Items" without the quotes
   
   
   
   
2. In Windows Explorer, make sure the Navigation Pane is visible. If it's not, go to the Menu Bar and select View -> Navigation Pane and put a checkmark next to Navigation Pane.
3. In Windows Explorer, go to the Menu Bar and select Home -> Pin to Quick Access:
   
   
   
   
4. The "Recent items" folder will appear in the Navigation Pane, and you can drag it to the top of the Quick access list if you desire.

This should also put Recent items at the top of the Windows Explorer Jump List, and in the Start Menu -> File Explorer -> Pinned list.

I discovered today that It appears when I go to open or save a Word/Excel (document) file but doesen´t appear in File Explorer screen. is it correct ?
I applied de 2 files for 64 x

Well, in windows 10, microsoft not only replaced the old "favorites" in navigation pane of explorer with quick access (merging it with recent places), but also merged them with explorer's jump list. It is now not possible to pin some dirs in jumplists without pinning them also in quick access...

So, is there any way to restore the old and independed "favorites" menu in navigation pane? Note that the "links" folder remain into the user folder in windows 10.
