Windows 10: windows Explorer problems, updating windows doesn't help.

I cannot right click in win explorer, it crashes explorer back to rebooting desktop.

Also, I cannot left click My Computer or access My computer, It crashes back to desktop.

My C drive disappeared from explorer, and I have no "this PC" either.

The files seem still to be there somewhere, but I cannot access them myself directly.

All this happened after that "April" update of win 10 last year.

My DVD drive also refuses to play media, though it reads software disc.

The other thing that happened at the same time is that my cellphone software stopped working on the computer; it crashes the laptop back to desktop reboot when I try to open it (automatic open on USB connection, Doogee X9 Pro), like the expl R click and My Comp L click/R click does.

Any other open windows usually stay open, but may be minimised.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Windows Explorer crashes and thumbnails problem

Hi, I hope you can help me.
Windows Explorer is no longer showing thumbnails on files played by Windows Media Player. I've run cmd and regsvr32 shmedia.dll and regsvr32 shimgvw.dll. That seemed to solve the problem...but it created a different one. Now when I try to open a folder on an external hard drive it crashes. I read in an old 2008 post it was an avi file causing the problem and suggested the run cmd regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll. That solved the opening problem but recreated the thumbnail problem. Any help to achieve both functions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
