  1. Windows Explorer Search always fails

If we enter, say, a title which is approximate to a book I have saved in a large directory with many folders, Explorer's search function upper right, top produces useless results.
    Example:
Enter a book title, in this case the title is "There is no outside"...

The search result, every file in the directory that has the word "is" in it comes up, with "is" highlighted. Then, every item, no matter what language it is in, comes with "no" highlighted. In this case, a number of items with Spanish in them come up: "nos" a reflexive pronoun prior to a verb comes up with no but not the s in the word highlighted.

How can this possible produce any meaningful results? Do you have any files that do not contain "is" or "no"? I didn't inquire for "all files containing "is" or "no"... I queried a phrase "There is no outside" which is a book title, and would be part of the file name as well. If I knew the precise file name, I don't suppose I would need Search.
Thousands of results. None of them are the file I seek.

    Help, please?

    :)

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

    • Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
    • In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
      to change the view.
    • Once changed, close the File Explorer.
    • Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

After performing the steps above, reply back to us so we can provide additional help.

I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.
