Windows 10: Windows Explorer search not finding matching results when it should

I just fresh installed Windows 10 and I'm already having problems with File Explorer. Why doesn't it find files even though they exist? In this example, I'm in a folder with a file called "00177.MTS", you can see it clearly exists. But if I search this folder for 177 or 177.mts, I get zero matches. How is this possible? It's not just this file.. it's happening with many other files in other folders. See screenshot.

Windows explorer search won't show any results. I've tried the 10 step method listed in the web search. no luck.

 

Mobile Search will not find all matching contacts

That's an interesting find.

I can confirm that on the N96 at least, if a contact has multiple numbers that match the search pattern, only the first one will be listed in the search results.

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.
