Windows Explorer unstable while playing audio file...

    Hello,

first excuse my for my bad english, i'am French.

Im explaining my problem to you, to go crazy... sorry its going to be a little long.

A good month ago I change my old computer (i5/ chipset h110) which worked perfectly for 6 years by a new one a little more evolve (i7/ chipset z270), bought used because I want to play.

As I keep my ssd and hdd, I mount it all without reinstalling windows 10. I reinstall the new drivers chipset etc... in short everything works.

Namely that I listen to a lot of music from my computer, on an amp via a DAC connected in USB, flac and radio online by foobar 2000.

Once I get everything back, I launch my foobar... and thats the drama. The taskbar goes up and down on its own, it looks like its blinking, the mouse is moving on its own by jumping on the screen, the foobar app is slowed down, and if I reduce it the icons on the desktop disappear/ reappear... something crazy.

I cut everything, and Im forced to unplug electrically to get it back to normal.

Well I say to me must reinstall windows, I install a clean idem same problem! I change USB, the 2.0 then the 3.0! same! but new symptoms once on 2 my USB keyboard does not boot.

I thought, used motherboard HS. I take out the chequebook buys alim, ryzen 5, motherboard B550M and ssd new!

Reinstall windows 10 in pro version, put everything right, reconnect my dac to USB... and restart the music... it works! (I see little flashes, but I tell myself its nothing!)

The computer runs normally in daily use, and even games this weekend!

Yesterday I put back the music and there without throwing foobar just by turning on my DAC, explore it again the same symptoms!

I tell myself the USB of my bad dac, I plug it into optics... idem!

Well my DAC is HS... I plug my computer live to my amp via optics, the amp is new from September, foobar lance is the same! everything goes in sausage...

I tell myself my windows is HS... I run sfc/ scannow... nothing ... DSIM etc... nothing... I do it even in safe mode.

I change Audio player, Winanp, Dopamine... same symptoms! even with windows media player!!!

I dont know what to do anymore... I added the app in a trusted app in my anti-virus (kaspersky total security 2020) nothing does anything about it.

I even once, the symptoms present, kill the service explorer.exe then rebooted, and if not music readings everything works at the top!

My Windows is up to date, my drivers too: chipset, audio, video etc...

On the other hand when I listen to the music of my headphones plugged into the front output it works, but by the rear optical output it messes up, as in USB...

    There is some incompatibility somewhere...

    Driver audio?

My new motherboard is an Asus ROG Strix B550 F-Gaming with CODEC ROG SupremeFX7.1 Realtek ALC S1220A

Thank you for your help and leads

    :)

  2. No sound while playing audio and video files.

    Hi,

I appreciate if you could answer to a few questions to narrow down to the issue.

    • Which is the application that you are using to play the files?
    • Did you try the same on a different player?
    • Did you perform any troubleshooting steps?
As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to check if the volume is set low or in mute state in Volume Mixer.

    • Right click on sound icon.
    • Open Volume Mixer check for the application that you are playing the files with and increase the volume and check.
If the issue still persists, I would suggest you to run “Playing audio” troubleshooter to diagnose and fix the issue.

Follow these Steps to run Playing Audio Troubleshooter in Windows 10.

    1. Type troubleshooting in the search bar.

    2. Select Troubleshooting.

    3. Select View all on the top left corner.

    4. Click on Playing audio.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
