Hi Tim,

It might be a faulty driver causing Windows to fail to resume from hibernation. Make sure all the drivers of your computer are updated. You can also run the Power troubleshooter to find any issues, see steps below:

• In the search box, type Troubleshooting and press Enter.
• Under System & security, click on Improve power usage.
• The troubleshooting wizard will start automatically, and if any issues are detected, it will try to solve them for you.

Hello, I have a Dell Inspiron 3647 64 bit running Windows 10 Pro v. 1703 build 15063.540 with the latest Windows updates applied. The video adapter is an Intel HD Graphics 4400 with latest driver. I have a standard hard drive with no errors detected. Memory
is also fine. The system is two years old.

Since I've had this machine, I've always hibernated it at the end of each day. In the last month, I've had a few instances where the computer did not come out of hibernation properly, but rebooted instead. It appears to power off as usual, but now that I've
been watching it, it seems on the mornings when it fails to resume from hibernation, it has taken a longer than usual time to shut down the night before.

Just before shutdown, the event log shows

The access history in hive \SystemRoot\System32\config\DRIVERS was cleared updating 1226 keys and creating 124 modified pages.

A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the DellDigitalDelivery service.

The system is entering sleep. (Sleep Reason: Application API)

Then when powering up the next morning, the event log shows

Virtualization-based security (policies: 0) is disabled.

Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC0000001.

There are 0x1 boot options on this system.

The bootmgr spent 0 ms waiting for user input.

The last shutdown's success status was false. The last boot's success status was true.

The boot type was 0x0.

The boot menu policy was 0x1.

There are 0x1 boot options on this system.

The firmware reported boot metrics.

Since I don't see any clues on the hibernate side, I'm hoping someone can see something in the resume side that will help me figure out why I'm seeing this problem about once a week now.

Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC000009A.

Reset my Windows 10 PC and now it can't wake up, throws this - Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC000009A.

Windows 10 version is ... how do I get... can't find it. ok, it's not insiders but it has all updates.

So what do I do now? I have to push reset every time after it goes to sleep.
