Windows 10: Windows fall update. Drivers freeze when installing.

I decided to do clean install of Win 10 pro fall update. Installation went fine. Windows installed the nvidia driver. Rebooted.
Installed Amd chipset (version before current, as current one freezes).
Chipset installed fine. Rebooted.
Installed Realtec audio drivers. Installed fine. Rebooted.

When I try to install the Intel Wireless, or Intel bluetooth drivers, it will get about half way. The system will bog down and after a minute, the system will automatically reboot (no blue screen). I even tried running display driver uninstaller in safe mode, and that even got stuck.



I have a 1800x, OC to 4 ghz
ASROCK Taichi X370 MB
Samsung 850 Evo 1 TB as the install drive.
16 x 2 3000 mhz memory (forgot the brand).

Has anybody have this happen to them with this update? When trying to find suggestions, one mentioned if OC, to put it back to stock, but I never had issues with doing a clean install with the system OC.

Any suggestions on what to try? I'm thinking of installing the spring 2017 update

Nextbook Flexx 10 problems with Windows 10 Fall Update

Note: this tablet came shipped with Windows 8.1. It has an Intel Atom Z3735F, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage

Actually, this tablet has had issues with Windows 10 in general. They did a poor job of advertising that it can be upgraded to Windows 10, because when it is, parts of the tablet don't work after the upgrade.

In this instance, I've tried two different ways to install Win10 Fall Update: clean and upgrade from Windows 8.1

When installing clean, I have no touch, no auto rotate (it defaults to portrait), and no sound. Manual rotation to landscape causes the screen to go dark and the system freeze after 10 seconds after updates are installed. It doesn't find drivers to make
the tablet usable.

When upgrading from 8.1 (nextbook's factory recovery image), it freezes at 55%, forcing me to power cycle and forced rollback.

I have not attempted to install Windows 10 RTM (build 10240), install the missing drivers manually, and then install Windows 10 Fall Update. Currently, in this situation, Windows 10 is absolutely useless on this device due to the fact Windows Update will
try to update to Fall and fail.

System still freezes, but doesn't fall into bsod.Two dead freezes for 9 hours,after second RESET AMD driver was fall down.I reinstalled the driver.

 

Hi, I'm wondering why you are installing drivers such as those? Windows takes care of all basic drivers for you. (Well it tries too). Typically the problem with, say, the Fall Creator's Update- for the relatively few that have such problems- is the need to use an OLDER driver - typically a graphics driver.

Where are you getting the drivers from?
Please don't use a driver scanner program (discussed on various occasions here).

 

The source of the drivers is Asrock's driver page for my mother board. Besides that, Amd for chipset & Nvidia for my graphics card

 

The only reason to get drivers other than those Windows installs is in the event of some particular problem or difficulty. There's no need to try to manually update them normally.

 

I'll do a reinstall and only update the audio and video drivers and see how that goes

 

After doing a clean install of Windows and doing all of your Windows Updates, press the Win key+X and choose Device Manager, are there any devices with yellow flags? If there are none, you do not need to install any drivers unless a device is not working correctly.
