    Windows Fax and Scan Windows 10 Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.706)


    I am having trouble with my scanning. Sometimes I can scan into my computer, and other times I can only scan one page at a time, each of which is placed in a separate file in the Windows Fax and Scan, version 1803 section.


    I want to scan whole documents together, which include many pages. On occasion my printer will allow me to do this, and other times I can't. When I can scan several pages together into whole individual documents, it is saved in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. But most of the time the images go into the Windows Fax and Scan program, which seems to be very primitive and unable to do a whole lot more than scan in one image at a time. At other times I get a message on my printer screen which tells me to go to some other place that I can't even find on my computer. It's all very confusing, but it seems to be connected with Windows 10.


    Can someone tell me how to get my printer-scanner to work properly, or at least how I can get the Windows Fax and Scan program to work in a different way so that I can scan and save multiple pages together into single individual documents?

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
