Windows 10: Windows Feature Update 1903 errors

I received this error code trying to install the update:


"The exception unknown software exception (0xe0000008) occurred in the application at location 0x00007FFDEFAF9129"


The update just hangs at 88%. If I try to open my browser (Google Chrome) it crashes. My computer is sluggish and slow. I just purchased this computer a few weeks ago so its fairly new and shouldn't have any issues.

Also to note, for update 1903 I believe you would need to be a part of the windows insider program to receive that update.

I've been trying to install Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903 via windows update and I keep getting the following error:

Its been 7 times now & and I've even tried to disable my Antivirus (Eset) but nothing is working. How do I go about it? I recently signed into the Insider program, that's how I got the update

Any help appreciated

Windows 10 Feature Update 1903 is being released very slowly by Microsoft, at the moment, this update is being provided to users that choose to update their system manually, that is why it is appearing in the Update Assistant and not in the Windows Update list
in your Settings App

If you do want to update, use the Update Assistant, 1903 is a really stable update and the installation usually runs very smoothly . . .
