Windows 10: WINDOWS FEATURE UPDATE FROZEN LAPTOP

A FEW WEEKS AGO I DOWNLOADED A FEATURE WINDOWS UPDATE,IT DOWNLOADED THEN SAID RESTART NEEDED,WHICH I DID

THE LAPTOP DID THIS BUT THE DOWNLOAD DID NOT CONFIGURE MY LAPTOP,SO NOW ALL I GET IS ACER NAME SHOES THEN BLACK SCREEN THEN REPOEATS,MICROSOFT HELP USELESS.

The causes can include:

  Not enough hard drive space, too many unused programs

  Left over programs, old cached and temporary files

  Too many programs running at startup or in the background

  Missing Windows updates or outdated drivers
  

I would suggest you to install all the windows updates and update all your drivers.

Step 1: Try to run System maintenance troubleshooter and check if it helps.　　　　　　　　　　

• Press Windows + X key.　
• Select Control panel.
• In the search box, type Troubleshooter
  and then click Troubleshooting.
• Under System and Security,　
• Click on System Maintenance
  and Click on Next button.

Step 2: Run SFC Scan.

What is SFC (System File Checker)?

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:

• CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
• Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
• New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
• New S-spec and MM numbers
• New halide-free chip package

Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.
