    Windows File Explorer Fail

    Hi all:

Now, over a few windows versions (from I think WinXP to Win 20h (Build 29042.746), my File Explorer is doing bizarre things.
Note please, that it is not just over various Win versions, but also several TOTAL new computers as well.

When i booted up, and I open the File Explorer (FE from here on). it works fine, unless my system has been running for longer time.
After this, it begins to fail to read data.

With that I mean: if I go to another folder, it fails to read content, if I go to a different drive: the same.
If I close FE, and re-open it a bit later, it does not even find ANYTHING anymore: in the Search Bar FE is looking endlessly for stuff, but fails to find it.

I tried things like: Check drives (through the FE checkdisk and the FDisk command in an Admin running CMD: never an issue is found.
Remove drive per drive, see if it STILL is a drive, but the error did not get detected.
    No use.
Try in the Windows Admin Account: yields the same result.
In the mean time I had many a new drives, no use, the error persists.

OBVIOUSLY I have no software from WinXP that I still run, thus that it also cannot be.
ALL software is legal and signed.
Virus or Adware programs give a clean system, never finds an issue.
So "we can exclude that as well".
Why in-between quote marks: well one never can, obviously.

I've asked this question multiple times on multiple forums, people, my computer shop, ..., but it never resulted to a fix.

I am SO tired having to reboot my system each time that I am working on my drives, in whatever form, only even to access them.

I am at a total loss, and in the mean time beyond desperate.
    PLEASE help me...

    Thank you.

If you need more info, please do ask, thank you.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    Windows File Explorer Fail

Some files listed in Windows Explorer are blue font

I seem to have run out of room on a Windows XP Pro system. I tried to defrag but don't have but 7% room available. I looked in Windows Explorer to try to find some huge files that might be corrupt and I see a few that are listed in blue. What does that mean? I have not compressed anything on purpose. Thanks
