Windows 10: Windows file explorer keep searching

Hi,


it's been a couple of weeks now and I keep having this issue. I have tried many things after checking online for solutions but nothing seems to work.


the problem is the below:

when I first open a folder usually everything goes fine and I can see all the files in it and there is no issue, but as soon as I open a file, work on it, and save it again in the same location or in general save any other file in that location while the folder is open the search bar start loading and keep loading forever until I stop it pressing the X. during this loading time most of the time I see the icons of png files but not the preview I can see the preview of jpeg files.


I hope the explanation is clear, and I hope someone could help me understand why this is happening.


I run Windows 10 64-bit on a processor i7-8700 CPU @3.2GHz, 32GB of RAM and NVIDIA quadro 2000 graphic card.

File Explorer Search Not Working


I am trying to search in File Explorer (Windows Explorer, My Computer) and it will not find anything. I can copy text from a name in the list and paste it in the search box and it still finds nothing. I have looked at the suggestions that have been posted and nothing I find that is relative to this works. Anyone have any suggestions? I am running Win 10 Pro on an I3 coustom desktop computer.

Thank you for the detailed response. To change the search result's view from content to list, we suggest following the steps below:

• Open the File Explorer and try to search for files.
• In the toolbar, open the View tab and click List
  to change the view.
• Once changed, close the File Explorer.
• Open the File Explorer again and try to search to see if the setting has been retained.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
