Windows 10: Windows file Explorer problems after you force updates on my computer!

These are the updates you have forced upon my computer in 2023, even though it worked fine before that :-And as it almost happens every time I am forced to update, I have hours upon in front of me to fix all the errors that the updates have created. I am really p*ssed that I have a perfect working computer, and then I am forced to update because Microsoft decides whats best for me!And how have they affected my computer?The last two 2023-2 updated 17.02.23 does this - I open Windows file Explorer, and then I get this view:And 13 seconds at best after it opened THEN I also get my Quick Ac

Windows 7 File Sharing between computers, PROBLEMS!!

Just do a file transfer in explorer from one computer to the other and see what speed you get. I would suggest avoiding homegroup and using a proper network setup instead.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows Explorer crashes and thumbnails problem

Hi, I hope you can help me.
Windows Explorer is no longer showing thumbnails on files played by Windows Media Player. I've run cmd and regsvr32 shmedia.dll and regsvr32 shimgvw.dll. That seemed to solve the problem...but it created a different one. Now when I try to open a folder on an external hard drive it crashes. I read in an old 2008 post it was an avi file causing the problem and suggested the run cmd regsvr32 /u shmedia.dll. That solved the opening problem but recreated the thumbnail problem. Any help to achieve both functions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
