    I recently formattd my pc i had an ssd which i completely removed everything from it and i had a hdd which i used it for storage for videos games etc....when i tried opening the content on it again after formatting it an error pops up :*Error: "We can’t access the file for this item. If it’s being downloaded or has just finished being downloaded, try again soon. Otherwise, make sure that another app isn’t using the file and that you can access the place where the file is stored."i looked everywhere on youtube and did the give permission on security to everyone and to the owner but still got th

    Hello Harry,

    To help us identify the cause of the issue and then find the proper resolution for it, please provide the following information:

    • Does the installation of the drive has been successful?
    • Aside from the Windows Films & TV app, have you tried using a different application to open the footage?
    • Can you please confirm the current build of your Windows 10?

      (Type winver into the Cortana search box, then hit Enter.)

    The error might indicate that it can't perform the operation since the location of the application was changes. Meanwhile, you may try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and check if this will help you to resolve the concern.

    Hi Justine,

    thank you for helping me. I followed the steps that you outlined in your reply, but when I reached step 3 a small frame opened, however, I could not edit to remove the device. This was display only. The document appears to be saying you can only remove a
    device by logging in to that device.

    For your info I am running Windows 10 Pro in S mode. version 1803 OS build 17134.254.

    In the support documents is says:-

    How to see your devices

    To find out how which and how many devices are currently associated with the Films & TV app:

    1. Start the Films & TV app.
    2. Go to Settings and tap or click Show my download devices.The pop-up window will display the various devices to which you can download your purchases.
    How to remove a device

    Note You can only remove one device every 30 days.

    To remove a device:

    1. Sign in to the device that you want to remove.
    2. Start the Films & TV app.
    3. Go to Settings and tap or click Download devices.
    4. Tap or click Remove this device.
