  1. Windows Filter Platform and Network Isolation causing bad latency issues

Hello, everyone I have been working on an issue for a couple of weeks now where users are getting like 5mn down and 30 up on speed tests. After exhaustive troubleshooting I found that the windows filtering platform is dropping symantec and zscaler loopback traffic. I found an article to add GPO to fix it by adding defined subnets in GPO. This seemed to fix the problem. This morning I received an updated and my system rebooted. After it came back on my speeds are once again back to 5mb down. The GPO is still in place. Please assist this is driving me crazy. Not sure what info you guys will wan

    :)

  2. Latency issue caused by dxgkrnl.sys and ndis.sys in Windows 10

Yeah, it's a combination of things.

    My combination is this,

    • CPU power saving / latency caused by this feature eliminated by setting a higher value for
minimum processor state I've set 50% as minimum.
    • AIDA64 / some sensors can cause latency. Turning them off eliminates this problem "Fan divisor reconfiguration" and "Low-level SMART operations".
    • Network (ndis.sys) / only manage to reduce latency (I think) by changing some adapter settings.
Like I've said before. The only way to fix this. Is if Microsoft works with the developers to remedy the problem. Either they don't know how to solve it, or they blame us for having 3rd party software. If this were Open Source developers it would have been
fixed as soon as the second person raised the issue.

BTW, what software are you using to measure the latency, and what Windows version do you run? I never had this issue with versions prior to Windows 10.

    DPC Latency Causing Microstutters

This is just a community forum, so you don't get 'support tickets', but if you don't have a stutter issue

using a cable or your new Wi-Fi adapter it does sound like your old Wi-Fi adapter would have been the problem.

Wi-Fi anything is always more prone to issues than using a cable.

If you've been trawling the www already I guess you have checked into the possibility of a conflict with another driver.

I wouldn't know which one to suggest as I've never used Wi-Fi or had a latency issue, but if the problem persists

running 3rd part latency tool should help isolate the cause, if you don't already have one.

  4. Windows Filter Platform and Network Isolation causing bad latency issues

Latency issue caused by dxgkrnl.sys and ndis.sys in Windows 10

Just commenting to say I have the same problem with the network driver (ndis.sys). It gets worse over time for me, for some reason. On boot up the latency is in the green but slowly increases as times goes on. I have my Ethernet device disabled atm, seeing
how that goes. And I have a Belkin N USB network adaptor, can't find any older drivers for my model to try though.

This issue randomly started a few weeks ago, what could have caused it? An update through Windows Update?

Edit: I have seemed to have solved my issue! I had CyberGhost installed and I ended the process via Task Manager and the latency has stayed in the green! So I suggest looking through your processes and think about which might be using/manipulating your connection
as CyberGhost would have been doing for mine.
