    Windows firewall blocking everything that accesses internet.


    I've gotten a reoccuring error that pops up ever since I updated my laptop. Whenever I open up something that uses internet (mostly just Chrome tbh), it gives me the message 'Windows Firewall has blocked access' or something like that. I always hit allow access, but it comes back. The internet works fine at home, but when I'm at school (internet requires a proxy) Chrome proceeds to not work. Any help? I've tried reinstalling Chrome, nothing seems to be wrong with my firewall settings. It only started happening once I updated my laptop.

    How to set my games to offline?

    If the games require Internet access to load content and levels, you can't block them or set them to work offline only.

    If they are offline games that use some Internet functionality, what you can do is press Windows key + A then toggle on airplane mode to prevent access to the Internet while playing the game.

    You can also launch the Windows Firewall and block the game from accessing the Internet.

    Windows firewall blocking everything that accesses internet.

    Try resetting Windows Firewall rules. Run CMD as admin and copy/paste:

    netsh advfirewall reset

    Since school requires a proxy and home does not, you are going to have issues. You can setup two different profiles in 10 or even just use a portable thumb drive for a portable version of Chrome to only have the Proxy on it. You can use the portable version on any computer and not worry about having to remember to go in and turn off the proxy in the Control panel or turn it back on.

    There is software out there that does help, but you are going to have to find which works best for you.
