    I like to add outbound rules and WFN appears to be the easiest to use tool to so enhance the existing Windows Firewall (I don't want to use third party firewalls)

    Windows Firewall and Cortana stopped working after KB4015438 update

    I was notified of new update(s) so I allowed them to download. KB4015438 was installed automatically even though I had group policy "Configure Automatic Updates" set to "notify for download and notify for install." No new problems yet, but Firewall and
    Cortana still don't work. Attempting to start the firewall no longer triggers error 7024 in event viewer however.

    Store Windows 10. Error code 0x80240438

    ...as the error occurs one day and disapears the other - the firewall can't be involved - at least in my case and for my understanding of firewall.

    Aside from that: disabling the firewall is not an option! What comes next - do not install Windows Updates or - disable the Virusprotection? As it's notified in the console '...Your device may be vulnerable'.

    Windows Firewall Notifier

    I want to do the same, so I went to test that program. However, I briefed over the two reviews on their site and both indicated that their processors experienced heavy loads as a result, so I decided to forgo installing it.
