  1. Windows Firweall LOCAL network access from other devices: FIX!

Symptoms: You can see one PC from another device, but you cannot access it. The error I had was 0x80070035 & something along the lines of "network path not found".FIX: Control Panel -> System and Secutiry -> Windows Firewall -> Advanced settings -> Inbound AND Outbound rules -> In both turn ON every parameter with "shared access", except for those that are "Public" networks. All done.Again, make sure, that you only turn on PRIVATE and DOMAIN shared access, because then EXTERNAL sources can access your shared info.P.S. My pc's language is NOT english, so I can not really tell

    :)

Unable to Access Shared Files on Local Network after Windows Update

After a recent Windows update, I have been experiencing difficulties accessing shared files on my local network. Prior to the update, everything was working smoothly. However, since the update, attempts to connect to shared folders result in an error message, and I'm unable to browse or retrieve files from other computers on the network.

Error Message: "The specified network name is no longer available."

Steps Taken to Resolve the Issue:

    1. Checked network connections and verified that all devices are connected to the same network.
    2. Confirmed that sharing is still enabled on the folders I am trying to access.
    3. Restarted both the local machine and the remote machines on the network.
    4. Disabled Windows Firewall temporarily to ensure it's not causing the issue.
    5. Reviewed the event logs for any relevant error messages, but found none.
    Additional Information:

    • All computers on the local network are running Windows 10.
    • No recent changes were made to network configurations before the issue started.
    • The issue is persistent across different user accounts on the affected machine.
I would appreciate any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this network sharing problem after the recent Windows update. Thank you!

windows 10 loosing local network access

    Hi,

Well, frequently, I'm unable to access folders on my laptop (or desktop from laptop).
Then I run network troubleshooting and windows says me the same thing again: one or more network protocols are not installed and necessary for connectivity. Then I accept the correction and I can access my network until the next time it will fail and will say me the same thing. One day, perhaps 3 if I am lucky.
IT'S MASSIVELY BORING !! *Smile Windows Firweall LOCAL network access from other devices: FIX! :)

    Any clue ?

    Permission to access network

    Hi Kristen,

You might be experiencing this issue because you lost permission to access the network resource or shortcut after upgrading your computer. To better assist you with this problem, we would like to know the following information.

    • Are you using the shortcut to access a file or folder located on another computer in the network?
    • Is the file or folder located on the computer that you recently upgraded?
    • What is the exact error message that you received when accessing the shortcut?
    • Are you using a homegroup to share files between devices on your local network?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

In the meantime, let's run the Network troubleshooter. This troubleshooter finds and fixes common connection problems. Here's how:

    • Click Start.
    • Start typing Network problems, and then select
      Identify and repair network problems
      in the results.
    • Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to post a reply.
