Windows 10: Windows folder takes 65,8 GB from my hard drive and that's a lot

    Windows folder takes 65,8 GB from my hard drive and that's a lot


    (Windows 10) I have 118 GB in total and the Windows folder is taking up almost half of it and that doesn't sound right, is there anything I can do? Anything I can safely delete? Can I even clean that folder at all?

    Windows 8 - delete windows folders in another drive

    Just run "cleanmgr.exe" in the run command or in a command prompt and select the drive you want to clean......

    External Hard Drive

    Hi John,

    We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
    • Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.
    The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.
