Windows 10: Windows For Students

I am a student and the laptop I was running windows on has died. I need windows for my classes but the only other laptop we have is running a version of linux. Can I get a discount to purchase a version of windows because I am a student or is the full price my only option.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
