Windows 10: Windows found drivers but encountered error attempting install them. File not found.

Suddenly mywindows 10 network adapter stopped functioning.


When I tryto update the drivers, I have this error:



"Windowsfound drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting toinstall them.

Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast EthernetNIC

Thesystem cannot find the file specified."



That ishappening with the integrated NIC and also with two different external NIC thatI have tried: one 3Com, another one Realtek.

I'm havingthe error message trying to install any network card using driversdownloaded from the manufacture of each one, including de integrated NICdrivers provided by Dell I'm on a Optiplex 990.


I havetried on a clean boot. I’ve disabled the integrated NIC on the BIOS and tryingto update the external PCI only.


The lastthing I want to do is reinstall the operating system, so please someone somehelp. I have 3 days reading all over Answers.Microsoft and other googledlinks and nothing.

What else can I do? What would be the situation here?


Note: I don't have network connection so don't tell me to update Windows. I'm downloading drivers through another PC and transferring with a USB memory.

Windows 7 wont install drivers

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
Step 1
reinstall windows from scratch
Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
Step 3
update windows
Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
Step 5
Install GPU drivers
Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.

If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage

 

Installing Bluetooth Drivers - windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them

Hi all,

I decided to reinstall my Bluetooth drivers on my laptop because I was having trouble connecting to devices. The Bluetooth chip is an Intel Wireless-AC 8265, so I downloaded the latest drivers. However, when I try to install them I get the error message:

Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers for your device

windows found drivers for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install them

The system cannot find the file specified

I am at my wits end with this one, would really appreciate help.
