Windows 10: windows freeze when downloading games from steam

hello, this problem happens only when i download games from steam. when the games start to download, it runs fine for a while, and then the computer start to lag and finally freeze stand still, even the ctrl + alt + del didn’t work, so i have to shut my pc down using the power button.

i already try to do memory diagnostic (no problem found), system drive error checking (no problem found), uninstall and reinstall steam, and uninstalling wifi and lan adapter from device manager, updating windows, updating GPU driver, and none of that solve the issue.

this problem only happens on downloading games from steam, when i try to download games from origin, no problem occured.

my system specs in case needed :

strix b550 f-gaming wifi ryzen 7 5800x strix rtx 3070 g.skill 2x8gb 3600 cl16 samsung 970 evo plus 1tb strix 750watt 80+ gold psu

if anybody can help or have the same issue, please let me know. my frustation is killing me lol.

Windows 10 Steam game crashes

• Does the issue occur only with Steam games or all games?
• Are you able to view videos?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card driver by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.

System restarts while accessing games from Steam on Windows 10

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Have you installed all the pending updates and driver updates on your device?
• Have you checked with the game compatibility and system requirements to access the games?

Try few of the below troubleshooting steps and check if it helps.

I suggest to check with the system requirements to play the game.

Step 1: As you have already installed Steam in compatibility on Windows 10, I suggest to install the games in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• Download the updated gaming software from the manufacturer's website.
• Right click the gaming software
  installation file and select Properties then tap or click the
  Compatibility tab.
• Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode for: box.

Download the latest drivers from manufacturer's website, try to install them manually and check if it helps.

• Click on Browse my computer for driver software and click on
  Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
