Windows 10: Windows freezes continuously during application updates

Hi all, I'm running on a fairly decent Win 11 Desktop specs belowI have plenty of ram and CPU power. However, every time I update a game, my computer freezes once every 3-5 seconds. It's not just a network thing. The entire computer freezes. I can't move the mouse, alt+tab to another window, etc. As soon as the update is done, however, everything is instantly back to normal. Anyone know what might be causing this? I have an Asus motherboard, and I read somewhere that there could be an outdated BIOS version, but I'm not sure how to check. I've also tried watching task manager while the freeze

• When does Windows 10 hangs/freezes? Is it after logging in to Windows? Or is it when you are using an application?
• Are there any third-party applications installed on your computer?
• Did you upgrade to Windows 10 from a previous version of Windows? If yes, which version of Windows was previously installed on your computer?

As a first troubleshooting step, we suggest that you check if there are updates that are waiting to be installed on your computer. If there are, kindly install them and restart your computer. After restarting, check if Windows 10 still freezes. Here's how

Windows Update troubleshooter, and check if it helps. Here are the steps:

• Type Control Panel in the Search bar, and press
  Enter on the keyboard.
• Go to Troubleshooting.
• Click View All.
• Right-click on Windows Update from the list.
• Select Run as Administrator.
• Click Next and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.

Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.
