    Hi!This is a somewhat common error, but I haven't been able to solve it yet. I've tried many things. It's been happening for over a month.What happens:Usually after about 15-30 minutes of using my Windows 10 PC - it freezes completely. Usually after a while - it throws me to the BSOD. The most common error message is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. It does not send the report, just stays stuck at 0%.After restarting my PC - it often freezes on boot. Sometimes on the motherboard logo. Sometimes at the windows logo. Sometimes it tried to go into automatic repair, but also freezes.If I keep a video pla

  2. Windows boots to the desktop then freezes

    Yeah...I went to google and got the F8...lol*Stick Out Tongue Windows freezing, unable to boot & DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION :p....thxxx

    It boots up in safe mode and seems to work fine. Now I just need to figure out what's causing windows to freeze up befor it fully loads in normal start up operation.

    Any suggestions where I might start ?

    • What is the make and model of your computer?

    I suggest you check if you are able to boot into Windows Recovery Environment using installation media. Follow the steps provided below and check.

      • Insert the installation USB and boot Windows 10 from it.
      • In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the ‘language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.
      • Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.
    Check if you are able to boot to this window. If you are unable to boot to this window, I suggest you to contact the manufacturer and check.

    I suggest you to unplug all external devices connected to the system and restart the system to check if the issue persists.

    Sometimes new hardware can cause blue screen errors. Since you recently added new hardware to your computer, shut down your system, unplug the new hardware, and then restart to check the status.

    Many blue screen errors can be resolved by making sure that Windows is up to date. In the search box on the taskbar, enter Windows Update, select Windows Update. On the Windows Update page, select Check for updates.

    I suggest you to Run System Maintenance Troubleshooter
    and check if it helps:

    System Maintenance troubleshooter finds and clean up unused files and shortcuts and performs maintenance tasks.

    Follow the steps given below:

    • Type Troubleshooting in the
      Search box from the desktop.
    • Select the Troubleshooting option.
    • Select View All option and select the
      System Maintenance.
    • Click on Next to perform the
      System Maintenance troubleshooter and follow the steps.
