Windows 10: windows fresh start stuck at 1%

    windows fresh start stuck at 1%


    my pc has been really slow so I'm trying to do a fresh start. its just been stuck on the blue popup saying Refreshing your PC, getting a few things ready and its just been stuck at 1%. how do I fix this and properly fresh start my PC?

    Okay, so last night I set up the fresh start and went to bed, when I woke up the PC was completely clean and fresh! It worked.

    The process of doing a clean installation of Windows 10 will take time depending on your computer. If the Fresh Start Tool is still stuck at 1% after 2 hours, restart your computer and try again.

    So I did the “overnight” Refresh and woke up to it stuck at 1%! Restarted machine as suggested and tried again...30minutes into it and still 1%.

    Acer Z3-600 machine that has been nightmare to own

    I’ll update at the 2 hour mark...
