Windows 10: Windows gets a blank screen when waking up from sleep

One day I left my laptop on my desk to go out of my working space for a while 5 minutes or so. When I came back to the desk I attempt to wake my laptop up from sleep, but all I get is just a blank screen with no cursor, and no lock screen appears. The only thing I can do in this situation is to force the power off by pressing and holding the power button on my laptop, and then powering it on again.I did check my laptop for the drivers and errors, and no errors or problems were found.Is there a cause behind this blank screen after waking up problem, and how do I prevent this from happening ag

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.

Does it only happen when waking up the computer from sleep?

To check for possible causes of this issue, we suggest you to run Power Troubleshooter. To do so, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• On the left side, click View all.
• Click Power.
• Follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists, you may update the Chipset driver from the device manufacturer.

  What is the make and model of the Computer?

  What is the build version of your Windows? To check the build version, follow the below steps;

  with the Win key + R key combo.

This issue might have occurred due to; The Keyboard item in Control Panel is not configured to wake the computer when you press a key on the keyboard: or your computer may have encountered a system problem: or the Sleep
key on your keyboard is configured incorrectly.

Let us check your Settings on Sleep option. Refer to the below article and check all the settings are correct.

If all the Settings are correct, try the below method and check if the issue can be resolved.

Method 1: Update display drivers.

I suggest you to update your display adapter drivers and check if the issue is resolved. Follow the below instructions to update your drivers:

  Device Manager, then select it from the list of results.
• Expand the display adapter driver, then right-click (or tap and hold) it, and select
  Update Driver Software.
• Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
