Windows 10: Windows graphic driver updates keeps causing boot failure.

I have a Acer swift 3x laptop with Intel Iris Xe and Iris MAX integrated graphic cards. A few years ago, I had problems with the MAX card, which I believe was due to hardware failure. But I can still use Iris Xe, so its fine for now. Recently though, my laptop failed to boot and went into the automatic repair option menu without giving any information or error codes, but I was able to fix it by updating the graphic drivers from the Intel website while in Safe Mode. For some reason, Windows Update keeps trying to roll back my graphic drivers to the versions that cause it boot failure. So now,

• What is the make and model of your machine?

I suggest you to enable the integrated graphics in the control panel of the Nvidia
and check if it helps.

• Did you try updating the Graphics card which you have installed recently?

This issue might have caused due to incompatibility of the display card with your machine. I suggest you to check with the manufacturer if the display card is compatible with you system and check if it helps.

I would also suggest you to update graphics drivers.

  Press Windows key + X and select

• 
  Right click on the graphics driver
  and select Update driver software.
