    Windows hard drive suddenly full

    Hello all.

So 3 days ago I cleared out 30 gigs of hard drive space and I was pretty happy cause it was hard and I eventually had 70 gigs of free hard drive space.

Fast forward 3 days and I boot it up again. wasn't on in the days before and I plug a USB drive in for a file and I see that my main hard drive suddenly only has less than 20 gigs of space left. I have run Malwarebytes, Windows defender virus scanner and CCleaner but with no success.

Malwarebytes and Windows defender both didn't spot a virus. Malwarebytes spotted a potential not wanted file and I deleted it and I could only clean out 2 gigs with CCleaner. All my big apps are on an external hard drive.

This kind of depressed me cause it is so hard cleaning out space while you almost cant and that it's all just gone.

Btw my laptop is a HP Elitebook 2570p with an Intel Core I3 3110M 2.4 ghz proccesor with 8GB of ddr3 ram and i think a WDC WD3200BVVT-63A26Y0

    :)

    Windowed Hard Drives

On the contrary, showing off "slow tech" by adding a window to a hard drive is a "dumb" idea. Do you really want to be showing off a whole "7200-10000 RPM of power" or would you rather show off a plain SSD drive? (If you really desire to "show off")

Adding any window to any drive is just stupid. I just suggested an easier option for you since manufactures don't put windows on the latest hard drives.

URGENT HELP NEEDED! HDD suddenly became blank!

    Hey there, @Shamonto Hasan Easha!

I'd try re-plugging the hard drive and checking if the cable is damaged. I'd also suggest to try plugging the drive in another computer and see if it gets recognized properly there. Is it a IDE or SATA drive you're using?
If the drive is unallocated, this means that the partition has been lost after the power went down.
Check out this thread for more ideas on how to solve the issue. There are some detailed steps there that might be useful for you:

    Hope this helped.
