Windows 10: Windows has deactivated after Bios update wants me to buy a new copy?!

HI,I recently updated my bios on my Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 to the most recent version. After this windows has deactivated itself and now wants me to buy another copy of windows 11. Updating the bios is NOT a significant hardware change. I'd argue it's not even a hardware change it's the same piece of hardware. There must be a mistake as it would be absolutely moronic if Microsoft made you buy another copy of windows everytime you update the bios. Anyone else have this problem or a solution? I'm currently on day 2 of no call back from microsoft who's customer support is absolutely shambolic.

Every time I update my motherboard BIOS, Windows 11 deactivates and asks me to buy a new license!

I changed my motherboard, CPU and RAM recently to this:

Intel i5 13600K

Gigabyte Aorus Z790 Elite AX

32GB DDR5 6800

When I changed the motherboard, Windows asked me to reactivate the copy, which is fine, I had to select my previous PC and it transferred.

I have since then updated the BIOS twice, which is a very normal operation, and every time Windows 11 is DEACTIVATING and it asks me to activate again. Of course, it does not allow me to select my previous license, it says it has been activated too many times.

I was lucky that I could use another license from a laptop I own and my copy got activated. Today I updated my BIOS again and the same thing happened again, and now it is forcing me to buy a new license.

I'm sorry Microsoft, I'm updating my BIOS, not changing my PC every time.

Is this a Windows 11 error? I can't be purchasing Windows 11 copies every time I update my BIOS and I'm quite the PC enthusiast and I need to update my BIOS frequently.

Can you help me please?

 

Windows 11 deactivated after bios update

Windows 11 has deactivated after I updated my bios, I wouldn't mind but it's now refusing to re-activate at all and appears to want me to buy a new one despite the fact the hardware's identical, so I'm not inclined to do this or agree with Microsoft's assertion that i've physically changed my hardware.

The error reported is

"We can't activate Windows on this device at the moment. You can try activating again later, or go to the store to buy genuine Windows. Error code: 0x803FABBA"

Not happy with Microsoft or my motherboard manufacturer for this, I've never in decades of using PCs and upgrading bios' seen this happen before.
