Why is every simple thing that used to work just fine in Microsoft Windows no longer working, or so dysfunctional that it basically doesn't work?

    Simple things:

    • Print a document, get a jamb and the job gets deleted from the print queue?
    • Resize windows, they always wind up somewhere else and in a different size when you minimize/maximize.
    • Random selection of undesired activities. I don't want to have to click a little this way or that way and some stupid accessibility feature gets activated.
    • Windows updates happen while I'm working, and WAY too often, and every new release means that something else doesn't work anymore.
    • Why so many updates? I'm sick and tired of you stupid people making me do a forced reboot when I'm trying to work. FYI.. I got into GPO and disabled your disabling updates, so you can take Update Orchistrator and all your other crappy services and background apps that are intended to circumvent your customers desires.
    • Customer service - Well, that's always sucked, so no change there. Doesn't matter if you are an Enterprise customer or a lowly personal user.
    • File Explorer is now the slowest file handling tool ever invented. Why does my brand new computer running at 4+ Ghz with 16 GB of ram and 12 cores take 30 seconds to sort 100 files on a NVMe drive?

I think Satya Nadella is slowly running Windows into the ground. Gosh, man, do you only want people on Apples and Linux boxes to be able to use Azure? Are you just giving up on Windows, and only putting your worst programmers on the very product that made Microsoft the company it is today?

    :)

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
    a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
    b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.
