Windows has taken up so much space I cannot even pull up an internet browser.

I have a 2n1 with an attached hard drive. Windows has taken up so much space i cannot use it for my writing, I cannot even pull up an internet browser, I request that the portable hard drive be used, but it is not. I have deleted programs, defragged the computer, had temporary files deleted daily. I have changed 'where new apps are saved' (every available option) to the DWindows has taken up so much space I cannot even pull up an internet browser. :passport HD, on the 'Free up space' screen I have requested it to update to the HD.. What more can I do? My dad got it for me as a gift before he died, so getting rid of it is not an option. In the next 4 months I will get one with more memory and keep this one for portability. what do I do until then? I have MS Office for the Word program. I use the 2n1 like a laptop and Windows uploads considers it as such apparently. it works fine without so many updates..Please help.

    :)

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?

Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).

  3. Error: "Internet Explorer is not responding" and "Website not responding" while accessing the browser on Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for your response and information.

As Windows 10 as Microsoft Edge in-built browser, I suggest you to try that browser and check if this issue persists.

For the issues with Internet Explorer try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: I suggest you to run the Internet Explorer Performance troubleshooter.

    • Press Windows key, type troubleshooting
      and select it.
    • Click on View all in the left pane.
    • Click onInternet Explorer Performance and follow the onscreen instructions.

Step 2: I suggest you to turn off and on Internet Explorer and check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Press Windows + R, type Control Panel
      and hit Enter.
    • Click on Programs and Features.
    • Click on Turn Windows features on or off from the left pane.
    • Uncheck Internet Explorer, click on Ok.
    • Restart the computer and repeat the same as above to place a check mark on Internet Explorer.

Hope it helps. Kindly update the status of this issue for further assistance.

Windows has taken up so much space I cannot even pull up an internet browser.

    Pull-down or Drop-down Menu?

I decided to uninstall Firefox after the entries in the Favorites doubled.
(Example: the Yahoo Mail sign-in page appears twice in the list. Deleting
    one also deletes the other.)

I have been looking for browsers with pull-down or drop-down menus but
could only find Chrome-styled browsers (without pull-down or drop-down menus).

Would anyone suggest an old style browser?

    TIA.
