Windows 10: Windows hello access

Windows Hello is sending a security code to the very bloody e-mail account I am TRYING to access. I can't log-in to me hotmail account, I can't access my Onedrive, what stupid bloody system are you forcing me to use that I NEVER ASKED FOR!!!!!!!!

Hi Tom,

Try few of the troubleshooting steps below and check if you are able to access Windows Hello.

Step 1: I suggest you to run
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter as it checks for common problems and makes sure that any new device or hardware connected to your PC is installed correctly.

• Press Windows key from the keyboard, type
  Troubleshooting and select it.
• Click on view all option on the upper left corner of
  Troubleshooting window.
• Select the Hardware and Device
  options from the list.
• Click Next to run the
  Hardware and Device Troubleshooter.

Step 2: Also, I suggest you to update the bio-metric finger print reader from Device Manager and check if it helps.

• Press Windows + X from the keyboard, click on Device Manager.
• Right click on Bio-metric finger print reader, click on
  Properties.
• Go to Drivers tab, click on Update driver software.

Step 3: I recommend you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Network access to PCs that use Windows Hello

Our PCs at home have been updated to the April 2018 Update of Windows 10 and they're suggesting that we replace our passwords with Windows Hello. I've never used Windows Hello before, but I understand that it's a biometric login mechanism. So if that's the case, how can we access each other's PCs through the network? We currently use passwords to access network shares and Remote Desktop. I'm unsure if I should enable Windows Hello in case we all lose access to sharing each other's resources as biometric authentication is just for access to the local machine. Can someone confirm whether or not you can continue using Windows Hello-enabled computers through the network?

Just to clarify:

Q1. Can I still login to a Windows 10 Hello-enabled PC remotely via RDP using a traditional username & password?

Q2. Can I also still use a username & password to access a network share (i.e. map a drive letter) which is hosted on a remote Windows 10 computer that uses Windows Hello?

Q3. If the answer to the above questions is no, then is there another authentication method I must use instead?
